Treyarnon Bay

just a short walk from Hillside Cottage – dog & child friendly

Walking around Treyarnon Bay

There are an abundance of walks to take advantage of the spectacular north Cornwall coast. The South West Coast Path goes through Padstow from it’s most westerly point at Land’s End to Hartland Point lying to the north.

The Saint’s Way, opened in 1986 follows the route of the early Christians from Padstow to Fowey 28 miles to the south and starts at Padstow Parish Church. A true hike for one day, the route is peppered with pubs and hotels if you need to give in! A more manageable walk is the Padstow Circular Walk (approximately 7 miles) details of which can be found at the Padstow Tourist Information Centre or look at www.iwalkcornwall.co.uk/walks/near/padstow.

St Merryn Parish Council have drawn up a walking map which you could download before your visit to Hillside Cottage.

Carnewas and Bedruthan-towards Porthcthan

Fantastic experience with Hillside. Perfect walking distance from the beach, incredible view from the decking and hot-tub, absolutely perfect for a getaway. Can’t recommend enough!

Laurel and family

A shorter 2 mile walk from Treyarnon Bay going west to Porthcothan Bay
follows the SW Coastal path passed some precipitous and spectacular
cliff tops down to the long and golden cove of Porthcothan. Delicious
ice-creams can be found at Porthcothan Bay Stores which apart from also
serving excellent coffee and cake has an unexpected and great little
shop.
