Walking around Treyarnon Bay
If you like walking, there are lots of walks all around Treyarnon Bay and the surrounding areas. Some of the local resources to help you plan what you want are below.
Padstow Tourist Information Centre has a lot of information about walks in the area.

St Merryn Parish Council have drawn up a walking map which you could download before your visit to Hillside Cottage. Download the St Merryn walking map PDF (1.6Mb)
A 5 mile circular walk from Treyarnon Bay to Porthcothan, then Constantine and back can be seen here, with directions.
A more gentle 3.7 mile walk from Treyaronon Bay to Porthcothan and they have lots more information on walking the South West Coast Path (that’s a tongue-twister!). Porthcothan Bay is one of the “Seven Bays for Seven Days” allowing surfers to enjoy waves whatever direction the wind, under full protection of the RNLI. There is a decent pub meal to be had here at The Tredrea Inn (01841 520450)… not smart but great food and dog friendly with a very pleasant terrace.
The Saint’s Way, opened in 1986 follows the route of the early Christians from Padstow to Fowey 28 miles to the south and starts at Padstow Parish Church. A true hike for one day, the route is peppered with pubs and hotels if you need to give in!
A more manageable walk is the Padstow Circular Walk (approximately 7 miles) details of which can be found at the Padstow Tourist Information Centre 01841 533449 email@example.com
