Cycling around North Cornwall
The Camel Trail
The Camel Trail is arguably the most successful recreational multi use trail in the UK, providing access to the beautiful Cornish countryside along a disused railway line between Wenfordbridge, Bodmin, Wadebridge and Padstow. It is just so beautiful. We hire the bikes and cycle from Wadebridge the 5 miles to Padstow, sit on the quayside with our crab sandwiches or fish and chips and then cycle back! Enough for us – but a good day’s excursion is to continue on into Bodmin and back. You will go through stunning countryside. Wadebridge is worth a look around with more interesting and varied shops than Padstow and has a cinema for those rainy days. The Camel Trail is an 18 mile largely traffic free, surfaced and virtually level multi use trail which passes through some of the most spectacular countryside in the south west.
